Mr Pinnock has practised corporate and commercial law in Manchester for 20 years, having previously worked for City firms. His areas of expertise include general mergers and acquisitions, equity and loan investment, secured banking, international mergers, advising charities and corporate governance.
His experience includes a number of IPOs and reverse takeovers on the AIM stock market. His commercial expertise also extends to franchising and retail centre management agreements.
Outside of work Mr Pinnock’s interests include hill walking, sailing and history. He lives in South Manchester and is married with two children.
Vanessa is the Deputy Team Leader of the RTA and Credit Hire Team as well as being a fee earner in her own right running a full case load of RTA Personal Injury and Credit Hire recovery files. She has a wealth of experience in litigated cases and in efficient work processes that will cut to core of the issues to deliver timely results for her clients.
Vanessa joined the firm in 2007 as a junior administrative assistant and has risen through the ranks. She completed her CILEx Graduate Diploma in 2016 and was appointed Deputy Team Leader in April 2018. She has countless trial victories under belt and among her past successes she can include the negotiated £100,000 settlement of a case involving a victim of Post-Concussion Syndrome. She is forensic in her approach to her work and will fight fearlessly for her clients whilst remaining approachable and professional at all times.
Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys eating out, spending time with her family and friends and going for long walks with her fiancé and dog “Boris”.
Tram graduated her LLB Law with Criminology degree from the University of Sheffield in 2018. She is currently studying the LPC part time at the University of Law alongside working at Glaisyers and hopes to begin a training contract in September 2020, focusing on commercial seats.
Tram began paralegal work at Glaisyers in 2018 and has assisted partners and solicitors on a wide range of contentious disputes. She handles her own case load which frequently includes debt recovery, insolvency litigation and residential landlord and tenant disputes.
Although Manchester born and bred, she was fortunate enough to have a year abroad in her third year and studied in Ferrara, Italy. She was also the Social Secretary of the Criminology Society at The University of Sheffield in her final year of university.
When she isn’t crunching through cases at work, Tram enjoys travelling, going to festivals, walking/hiking in the peaks and spending as much time with her 2 adorable nieces and nephew as she can.
Tom started working in law in 2011, and qualified as a solicitor in 2013. He specialises in residential and commercial property. He spent eight years at his last firm, but he trusted his gut and made the move to Glaisyers. If you ask him, he’s “enjoyed every minute”. In his work, clients say he is pro-active, experienced and approachable. He provides a high level of service to clients, specialising in navigating complex property issues efficiently and with a commercial approach. Outside of work he enjoys playing football, golf and spending time with the family.
Originally from Salford, Thomas joined us after completing his A-Levels as an apprentice in our residential department. Thomas has excelled during his time at Glaisyers, including being awarded with the Apprentice Star award for his work at the beginning of 2020. As he continues with us he has moved to becoming an apprentice solicitor – the first for him to becoming a qualified solicitor in the future. Outside of work he is an avid supporter of Liverpool FC. He’s not an armchair fan either – he dedicates time to cycling and going to the gym. He loves traveling, especially city breaks across Europe. When he’s not travelling, he spends his time friends in Manchester trying all the new restaurants and bars.
Sue is the Practice Manager at Glaisyers, joining us in 1991 as a Legal Cashier, progressing through administration roles until becoming the practice Manager in 2005.
Sue is focussed not only on developing the business but, more importantly on people, as she firmly believes people drive the business. She is passionate about this side of her job and is driven to help staff reach their potential and enjoy coming to work each day with the same enthusiasm she has, making sure we all deliver great service to our clients.
Away from Glaisyers Sue is the Treasurer of Manchester United Disabled Supporters Association, a group who help facilitate access to football for disabled people. In addition, she enjoys organising fundraising and social events for the group.
Stevi qualified as a solicitor in October 2019 whilst working at Farleys Solicitors LLP in Manchester. She graduated from the Unversity of Newcastle-upon-Tyne with a BA LLB Law degree in 2013 and completed her LPC at the University of Law in 2017. She has worked in various legal roles for the Daisy Group, Reeds Rains, Ashurst and PWC before joining the Glaisyers team.
Stephen is a Personal Injury and Credit Hire Claims Handler in the RTA Department.
A new addition to the team Stephen has 14 years Litigation experience in the legal profession having previously worked for two of the largest Defendant firms in the industry.
As well as his legal experience Stephen is a Business Studies Degree graduate and has dealt with RTA pre-litigation and litigated files from small track to Multi track technical cases concerning personal injury, liability, credit hire and loss of earnings.
Outside of work Stephen likes spending time with family, eating out and is a keen computer gamer.
