Gender Pay Gap Reporting website now live

By May 4, 2017June 28th, 2021Employment for Business

The Government website on which gender pay gap reports have to be published has now gone live. To date, five employers have published their reports. Perhaps unsurprisingly when you take a closer look at those reports they reveal remarkably small, and in some cases no, gender pay gaps. Interestingly there is no scope at present to include any voluntary narrative although employers can include a link to the report on their own website. As most large employers now know, the first gender pay gap reports have to be published by 5th April 2018. Our advice is to make a start on the reports now as the process of collating and analysing the information is likely to take some time. In addition to this, once you have the data you would be well advised to include a narrative to accompany the results, explaining any gaps and setting out the steps you are going to take to close them. For more information on your gender pay gap reporting obligations or for help preparing a report please contact Sarah Scholfield at Glaisyers Solicitors LLP.
