The increased cost and complexity of litigation coupled with the shrinking of legal aid means that access to justice is ‘very much at risk’, the president of the Supreme Court has said.
The challenge we face in dealing with litigation is providing justice to our clients whether individuals, businesses (or their owners) that they can afford. As lawyers we need to be focused on being satisfied that our clients case has merits and that we can get them an outcome which is both advantageous and affordable within (an often limited) budget. Therefore we at Glaisyers focus on the key issues and do not get over involved in satellite issues. We find that by setting out our clients case clearly and strongly we achieve a successful outcome while giving clear advice.
