Ross joined the Glaisyers property department as partner in 2019 and brought with him over 30 years’ experience within the property sector. He originally trained as a property development lawyer and has a proven track record of working on complex and high-value property transactions, including Site Aquisition, Commercial & Mixed-Use Developments, as well as overseeing Plot Sales on behalf of Developers.
After graduating from the University of Hull in Economics and Economic and Social History, he qualified and started working in London as a solicitor in 1987. Since then he has worked in various law firms including DWF, where he was an equity partner.
Ross is well known for his pro-active commercial approach to transactions, having been recommenced several times in The Legal 500. He has acted for funders and developers of major developments, both in the North West and in London. Most recently he has been involved in various plot sale developments, the acquisition of numerous wind farms, bridging and longer term finance of property deals, the acquisition and development of hotels and student accommodation, agricultural property matters and acting on landlord and tenant transactions. Ross has worked with household names as well as SMEs and High Net Worth clients all over the country.
Outside of work Ross is a bit of a petrol head and foodie. He loves to spend as much time as possible with his two girls, his partner and friends finding great places to eat and drink both here and abroad.
