Access to justice at risk

The increased cost and complexity of litigation coupled with the shrinking of legal aid means that access to justice is ‘very much at risk’, the president of the Supreme Court has said.

With the pending County Court Closures and numerous changes in litigation such as fixed fee one would assume access to to justice would be affected. The real impact of the upcoming changes are yet to be be seen however very few appear optimistic the changes will be for the for the better.
