More than 280 lawyers, including partners at major City firms, have signed a report making the case for Britain to remain a part of the European Union.

We are no longer an island with an empire. We are a dynamic nation with a trading instinct which will flourish in the EEC, where trade between countries is made easier. Where we operate in a global economy do we want to be dealing with different jurisdictions while trading with our European partners? The answer must be NO.In a world that is now more reliant on each other we need to be working more closely together. Therefore working as a European group is a good step in the right direction. On a political front we are also better being together to avoid conflict between nations. Let us not go back to an era where people saw other countries as a threat which leads to war. If countries have difficulties lets work with them and not isolate them.
