Over the years we have supported many different charities.
During 2011 and 2012 we fundraised for the Rainbow Trust, a charity that provides emotional and practical support to families whose child has a life threatening or terminal illness. Our team raised money for this worthwhile cause through various fundraising initiatives. We participated in challenging and fun activities, including the Great Manchester Run and Race for Life, a “can-can” around Manchester City Centre and in-house quiz days to name but a few.
More recently, we have supported charities that provide assistance and support to people with brain injuries. These charities include Trust Ed who improve the lives of young people with brain injuries, and their families by providing education and residential facilities as well as promote understanding and awareness of brain injury. Glaisyers are proud to have sponsored the Trust Ed conference held in November 2012.
Our Charity of the Year in 2013 was the Brain and Spinal Injuries Centre (BASIC) who are based just down the road in Salford. BASIC provide counseling, information and support to people and their families following a brain or spinal injury.
The Mustard Tree is our charity for 2016. Mustard Tree are a charity that “seek to improve the life-skills, resilience and wellbeing of our clients so that they have the choice and opportunity of moving in to work, education, training or volunteering.”
Glaisyers are also supporting Overgate Hospice. Overgate Hospice aim to care for the whole person to give them the best possible quality of life. They also provide support for patient’s families and/ or carers. Treatment is based upon an approach that treats each person as an individual.
