Stuart joined Glaisyers ETL in January 2026. He is a highly experienced restructuring and insolvency lawyer with over 17 years’ experience advising insolvency practitioners, directors, lenders and investors on complex corporate recovery matters across the UK.

Stuart’s practice covers the full lifecycle of financial distress and enforcement. He regularly advises administrators on all aspects of administrations, including appointments, pre-pack sales, trading issues, landlord and tenant matters, retention of title claims and asset realisation strategies. He has extensive experience acting on distressed business and asset sales across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, retail, leisure and multi-site organisations.

Alongside office holder work, Stuart advises directors and boards on their duties and liabilities when companies are facing financial difficulty. This includes advising on restructuring and refinancing options and the acquisition of businesses and assets from insolvency office holders. Stuart also regularly acts in contentious insolvency matters, including antecedent transaction claims, misfeasance and the defence of office holder claims.

Stuart a recognised lawyer in the Legal 500 and is known for providing clear, commercially focused advice at critical decision making points.

Outside of work, Stuart is a keen golfer and enjoys running and cycling.
