Private Client Vacancy

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Solicitor to join our Private Client team which has been listed in the Legal 500. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience and a strong interest in private client work, including Court of Protection matters.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded department, and to work on a varied caseload of complex and interesting matters.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including but not limited to, wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Day to day conduct of Court of Protection Deputyship matters and applications to the CoP including deputyship applications.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing them with an exceptional level of service and keeping them updated on the progress of their matters.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department, and contributing to the department’s business development activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (or CILEX) with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in private client work, including Court of Protection matters.
  • Strong academic background, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • STEP membership (or working towards). – Excellent client care skills, with the ability to build strong and lasting client relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied and complex caseload, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience of using case management systems.
