Most employers probably do not need to!

Employers ‘don’t understand apprenticeship levy’

The levy will probably only directly apply to less than 2% of employers. The proposal to create 3 million new apprenticeships during the current parliament equates to around 3000 a day (which is a little optimistic!). Whilst there are undoubtedly many positives of commencing an apprenticeship programme, there needs to be much more awareness amongst employers of the risks of not using the correct type of contract which can result in employers becoming unwittingly tied in to a long term relationship they cannot get out of if the apprentice proves to be unsuitable.
