The importance of having properly drafted employment policies and procedures in place is often overlooked. A clear set of rules helps your staff understand what is expected of them in relation to matters such as behaviour, reporting absence and use of your IT and communications equipment. This makes it easier for you when dealing with this type of issue because you have made your staff aware of the standards you require of them.

We regularly advise employers on the drafting of policies and procedures whether it be an employee handbook or specific bespoke policies. We don’t just draft from scratch and are often asked to review existing policies and procedures and identify where changes need to be made.
