About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Employment Solicitor (4-6 years PQE) to join our established Employment team in Manchester.

You will work closely with experienced colleagues on a wide variety of Employment Law matters, supporting business clients across sectors with practical, commercial and solutions-focused advice.

This role offers excellent exposure, strong career development opportunities and the chance to build long-term client relationships within a supportive and collaborative department.

Key Responsibilities

Core Work

· Assist with a broad range of Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and wage disputes.

· Draft employment documentation such as contracts, policies, handbooks and settlement agreements.

· Support senior colleagues with handing complex Employment Law matters, including due diligence and TUPE-related advice.

· Provide clear, commercially minded advice to SME clients on issues such as grievances, disciplinaries, performance management, restructures and redundancies.

· Conduct legal research and prepare reports, summaries and client guidance.

Marketing and Business Development

· Contribute to the department’s profile through articles, presentations, training sessions and networking activities.

· Build strong internal and external relationships to support the growth of the Employment team.

Skills and Attributes

· Strong technical grounding in Employment Law, with a genuine interest in both contentious and non-contentious work.

· Excellent communication and client-care skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with business clients.

· Well-organised and able to manage a varied workload with competing deadlines.

· A positive, proactive attitude with enthusiasm for learning, development and contributing to team success.

· Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications and Experience

· Qualified Solicitor (4-6 years PQE) with experience in Employment Law (training seat or post-qualification).

· Experience assisting on Tribunal matters and/or employment documentation is desirable.

· Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.

· An interest in employer-focused advisory work and corporate support matters is advantageous.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and confident Family Lawyer (circa 5 years PQE) to join our growing Family Team in Liverpool.

You will manage a varied caseload of private family law matters with a high degree of autonomy, while remaining fully supported by an experienced partner.

This role offers excellent exposure to complex and rewarding work, alongside genuine opportunities for progression and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a full caseload of private family matters with minimal supervision.
  • Advise clients on all aspects of family law, including:
    • Divorce
    • Financial remedy proceedings
    • Private children law matters
    • Cohabitation disputes and Schedule 1 claims
    • Pre and postnuptial agreements
  • Draft highquality pleadings, statements, agreements and correspondence.
  • Conduct negotiations and advise on settlement strategy.
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, including FDRs and final hearings.
  • Instruct and liaise with counsel, experts and other professionals.
  • Promote and advise on noncourt dispute resolution options.
  • Deliver a high standard of client care, managing expectations sensitively and effectively.
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the team where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the profile of the firm.
Skills and Attributes
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK family law and procedure.
  • Experience managing financial remedy and private children matters independently.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical and advocacy skills.
  • Confident clientfacing manner with empathy and professionalism.
  • Commercially aware and pragmatic in approach.
  • Wellorganised, resilient and able to manage competing deadlines.
  • A team player who enjoys contributing to a collaborative environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Solicitor with around 5 years’ PQE in Family Law.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a private family caseload independently.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills.
  • Experience preparing for and attending court hearings.
