Barbara and Catherine: Wood Street Christmas

Longsight ladies aid local charity

Catherine Vickerman and Barbara Bryan at Glaisyers Longsight organised a collection for the Wood Street Mission to aid their Christmas appeal. This is a charity which has been helping disadvantaged families in Manchester and Salford since 1869.

Barbara commented: ‘We have contributed to their Christmas Appeal by collecting toys and food for them to distribute to needy families. We collected 3 large boxes of donations and have delivered them to the mission. In total they aim to give toys to 3500 children this year and will supply food hampers to all their families.’ Well done to all who contributed!
