Leanne leads Christmas charity campaign

Longsight trainee Leanne Donnelly spearheads childrens charity campaign at Glaisyers

Glaisyers trainee Leanne Donnelly is bringing in the festive spirit by leading a campaign for Glaisyers employees to take part in a Christmas appeal that provides gifts for disadvantaged children in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

The scheme, known as Operation Christmas Child, involves putting simple toys, stationary and hygiene products into a shoe box to be given to a child at Christmas, who would otherwise go without. Leanne has already collected many Christmas ‘shoe boxes’ and has also got a local school, St Lukes of Longsight, to donate also.

The scheme looks set to be as success and Leanne hopes to run it again next year with even more participants.
