Employers are becoming increasingly aware of the ever-rising tide of employment-related legislation which has created an increased risk of Tribunal claims and associated legal costs
In response to this we have set up a special facility for clients in order to offer protection against both the risk and costs of Employment Tribunal claims. In particular, this involves providing clients with access to a dedicated Employment Law Advice Helpline operated by qualified solicitors which is backed by a comprehensive insurance cover package designed to meet the legal costs incurred and any awards of damages made in the event of litigation.
How the scheme works There are three core components:-
- The helpline - use is unlimited and advice is provided by qualified employment law solicitors;
- The audit - Glaisyers Employment Team will carry out a review of your current employment practices and then provide a check list of recommendations to put correct procedures into place, in order to minimise risk;
- Insurance policy - will pay both the legal costs to defend Employment Tribunal litigation and the cost of any awards.
How is the scheme is unique?
- The scheme is operated by dedicated employment law solicitors. Unlike other schemes, you will not be dealing with a call centre. If necessary, the helpline will also include attendance at your premises where it is not possible to provide detailed advice over the telephone.
- The audit provides you with an opportunity to review your existing working practices and help to prevent claims arising.
- The scheme enables you to budget and cap your employment and HR cost and provides peace of mind.
